In this connection, do not miss the Museo Civico Pinacoteca Crociani, the exploration of ancient Etruscan tombs excavated in the basements of historical buildings in Montepulciano, or a visit to the Archaeological Museum of Chianciano Terme. In addition, another important destination is Chiusi, seat of the National Etruscan Museum and the famous necropolis. A short distance away, you should also stop in Sarteano, where in 2003, an impressive discovery was made: The Etruscan tomb of Quadriga Infernale, embellished with a cycle of paintings dating from the fourth century BC.

Going back in time to the Paleolithic Era (50,000 years ago), Cetona offers an interesting tour which, after passing through the museum, delves into the nature of the archaeological park and of Archeodromo Belvedere to explore the earliest evidence of humankind in the Province of Siena with a fascinating journey through the woods of Mount Cetona to discover the caves of primitive peoples.
